Did your ex-spouse have zero "gay stereotypes"? Did that keep you blindsided?

For those who were married/in a relationship with men who didn't fit any traditional gay stereotypes (more of a "manly man" type):

Looking back, were there actually subtle mannerisms that gave them away, or did the complete lack of stereotypes keep you blindsided and strung along for years?
