Repainting The Rear Suspension In Preparation for the New Shocks
Over the weekend, I took time out to clean and prep the rear of the van in preparation for the new shock install tomorrow morning. The old shocks have seen better day and it didn't matter then I got some overspray in the crappy shock bodies. But once the new shocks are on, I'll be a bit more careful cleaning and detailing under the van. if one looks closer at the lower shock mount, they should see that we've been running these 66608 shocks with a cold rolled steel tubes and thick washers just to keep the shocks centered between the upper and lower shock mounts. This will all change tomorrow as we'll be installing a set of the Heim joint spacers specially designed for this set up. If all goes well, we may offer a complete rear end kit that includes the coil springs, shocks and the heim joint spacers.
