Am I the only one who gets annoyed when Icarus or Artemis show up

You finish what feels like the entire encounter, you're ready to grab your reward, and then they suddenly appear and basically double the enemy count. To make matters worse, they barely help, and most of the boons they offer aren't even worth the extra hassle.
