Questions about risks and volume progression with scrotal infusion

NSFW

Hi everyone,

I tried scrotal infusion once before, about a year ago, using 500 mL of normal saline. Honestly, I loved the appearance, but I ended up with significant bruising that lasted for about four days afterward.

At the time, I used a 21G injection needle instead of a butterfly needle. My guess is that I may have hit a blood vessel, and that was what caused the bruising.

After that experience, I never worked up the courage to try it again, but I'm now considering doing it. When I asked an AI about the risks, it mentioned things like testicular damage or loss, bleeding, and other complications that could require emergency medical treatment, which sounded pretty alarming.

So I wanted to ask people with experience:

  • Is scrotal infusion really as risky as it sounds?
  • Are there any absolute "don't do this" mistakes that I should be aware of?
  • Since my only infusion was 500 mL about a year ago, would trying 750 mL or 1000 mL now be especially risky?
  • Is it generally considered better to increase volume gradually over time, or does previous experience not really make a difference?

I'd appreciate hearing about both positive and negative experiences, especially from people who have been doing this for a while.

Thanks.
