Best macbook build for editing

hey yall couldn’t decide which forum was most appropriate for this but im looking into upgrading to a new macbook for editing.

im by no means a professional however obviously purchasing such a device means that i would consider its durability in the long run, as someone who’s looking into pursuing content creation (campaign ads, short films, portfolios, brand photo shoots with the intent of getting into larger partnered projects) what macbook would be best?

i was looking into getting a macbook pro (base m5 chip) w 1tb SSD, 32 ram)
i feel like this might be overkill & people say 24 is enough but tbh i dont even fully understand the concept of ram so
