Are windshields on Teslas actually worse than on other cars?
I've only had my M3 for a few weeks and I got a chip way up in the corner of the windshield, where you can't see it from the inside. In almost no time at all the chip turned into a massive crack all the way to the middle of the windshield.
Chips and cracks happen on every car and I have the windshield protection to help out.
I've seen a lot of posts alleging that "tesla windshields" suck. Is this actually true? Are the windshields more likely to chip? And are the chips more likely to expand and require replacement?
