Does anybpdy else think the voice performances in the Remake sound too similar to the Original?

For the most part, I'm neutral when it comes to recasting for a remake. While it's frustrating to not see the old voices return, it is also a great chance to bring a new vocal performance to old characters. I do believe this was the case for Persona 3 Reload, where the cast was given new life with the new voice actors. However, for the P4 Remake, the more I listen to the trailer, the more I am concerned that the direction was just to sound as close to the original voices as possible with only minor changes. And if that's the case, when what is the point of recasting? Anyone else feel the same?
