How would you handle midfield situation?

I've read a lot of people saying they hope we sign Wharton or Stiller. They're good players but our midfield is a little crowded now. We have Gallagher, Bentancur (one year left), Gray, Sarr, Bergvall who can play in the center and we might bring back Palhinha. That's already 6 excluding Wharton/Stiller. And afaik none of them can/want to play other roles regularly.

In the 4-3-3 with an AM, that leaves 2 spots for them. While it might make sense to keep them given our injury situation, it's not unreasonable for them to be unhappy from lack of playing time. We aren't in Europe this season either. So I'm curious how others would deal with this?

Personally i don't think we should keep more than 5 unless De Zerbi has plans to use them in other positions. I really think the 3 young ones have potential to be great players but they need to be playing consistently. So keeping all 3 might be tough. Selling Bentancur might be a natural option because he has one year left but after he came back from his injury he was very good. A little conflicted on who to sell/bring in. Curious on others' thoughts
