Twin Rivers school district- question about the after school program

My kid is coming into TK this year so this is all new to me. I’m wondering- I signed up for after school care on the day registration opened (5/4) and haven’t heard anything since the form email that my application was received. When do we generally hear something from them? my understanding is that there are way more students who need the program than spaces available- so what do the other families do?

And generally, is there anything else i should know - or anything else you wish you knew - as an incoming family to the district? We’re enrolled at Hazel Strouch elementar.
