Beginner divers in the Caribbean - recommendations to balance cost and overall experience

My brother and I are planning a dive trip (4-7 days) sometime in the next year in/around the Caribbean. I am a beginner with my PADI OW and a few recreational dives and my brother will be taking the OW course before/during this trip. We are young and don’t have money to just splurge, but we’d like to go somewhere with a good experience both diving and on land while being somewhat affordable. I’ve seen some other posts about the Caribbean, but not a post directly about balancing cost and overall experience. As a beginner, I’m not expecting the best-of-the-best dive experience. More just looking to get more familiar with diving, while having fun and not costing me an arm and a leg. Totally willing to put off the more phenomenal locations until I’m more comfortable, both in the water and financially.
