Question for French language teachers/FSL teachers/French immersion teachers

Okay gang theres no way youre all from qc/nb/French ontario and theres also no way you all did French immersion. So to the teachers who weren't taught through those traditional routes, how DID you learn French?

I want to learn French as a second language but all I did was the grade 3-grade 8 mandatory French classes in a mainstream public system in ontario so I dont know much (i know how to say ground beef in French tho 💅). Im only in my second year of bachelor's so i still have time before teachers college to learn. Im thinking of taking in person courses through a franco-ontarian college but wanted to see how YOU guys learned French 😤😤😤
