How many research reward tasks were there for prospector Pikachu?

My girlfriend and I were at the Chicago go fest. We did the field museum and got the prospector Pikachu research tasks, she was given 7 rewards all being the prospector Pikachu. I was given the same but then another 7 on top of that for 14 total rewards. How many were we supposed to get? Also to note she got no shiny, I got 1.
