What do you think of AI?
Personally I hate AI: It destroys the environment, spreads misinformation, increases water scarcity, makes people more isolated, is used to just enrich the 1%, ruins the internet by filling it with slop, takes away people's jobs. AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON DATA CENTERS.
There was a recent poll in America among GenZers asking about how they feel about AI. 82% of Gen Zers hate it.
I'm pretty sure you guys have also seen the Florida university clip where the students booed at the woman giving the speech when she said that "Artificial intelligence will be the next industrial revolution"
Those were all humanities students who had spent the past few years learning to enter a job market that is not obsolete cuz of AI. And they have a lot of student debt they will spend their entire lives paying back.
My dad and I had a conversation recently about AI chatbots and how they're causing psychosis in people. He told me he uses Claude as his personal therapist. MIND YOU THIS MAN IS RICH ENOUGH TO AFFORD THERAPY. Like he knows the dangers and still uses it? I mean he knows all his data is going to a corporation that is trying to make him addicted to this tech.
I used AI in the past because I was lonely and I had no one to talk to. I'm trying to quit now. Were any of you using AI chatbots in the past or use it now?
My dad says that we have to use AI because "If we don't adapt we'll die" so he makes me use AI and even made me create an AI agent. I hate AI especially cuz I'm an artist.
Do you have anybody like that in your life? What are your thoughts on AI? Do you think more regulations need to be put on this tech?
If you're also trying to quit AI also or just want to make friends I would love to talk, but be warned my reddit account got hacked previously and is still behaving weirdly and some messages may not reach you etc.
Thanks for reading this ❤️
