It feels like I'm in the honeymoon phase again

My husband and I agreed we would quit because we were both feeling neglected and ignored in the relationship. While there were a few other reasons for that, a big part of it was weed. Getting stoned all the time and just kind of existing next to each other.

We've been so much more connected since we've been sober. We talk a lot more, we're going and doing more things together, we have more energy for each other. We are so much more engaged and connected.

When he first brought up quitting for good, I wasn't upset with him, but I was bummed. Forever was just so daunting and I felt a bit of grief over it. By the next day, I was already feeling a lot more optimistic about it. I'm only at seven days, so it's a loooong road ahead, but this feels like the best start I've ever had to quitting.
