Why are the evolution levels so ridiculous???

I’m not gonna talk about some of the other stupid requirements to evolve, but why are the level requirements so high??? Every animon I have, I’ve had the option to catch their evolutions in the wild wayyyyy before they hit the evolution level. Is there an actual gameplay reason for the evolutions taking way longer to happen than just catching the evolved forms in the wild? Or is it just an oversight? Either way it’s super annoying having to hold on to first forms like cadedro and mollupom when I’ve had the option to catch their evolved forms for hours, and I just don’t want to replace an established team member
