How do I make my life's work read more human?

A story I've been working on for years is being called AI slop, but I've been working on it for LITERAL YEARS, adding things and editing sentence structure as I go TO MAKE IT BETTER.

Free spellchecks like grammarly for spelling and punctuation are all i use, now im being told I write like a machine and I need help.

Do not tell me to use an AI CHECKER they're so unreliable and inconsistent

The last one I tried said it would "automatically humanize" my work, WTF does that mean???

Some people say it's the way i make my characters speak, others say its how I describe stuff

there are people who say it's the way i space out my sentences.

I need someone to SHOW ME what looks like AI chapter by chapter so I csn edit it to make it look less mechanical?
