6l80 Rebuild Advice

So my 2010 Silverado 4x4 5.3L 6l80 went out and I took it to a local shop and was quoted $5600 for a rebuild and new rear main deal. I figured it was a little high so called another local company and they said $7000 which blew my mind. I looked up some remand trans online and found a monster transmission 6l80 for $3000. The shop said they’d charge $1450 to install a remand so what would be a good option for anyone who’s dealt with this. Thanks for the input
