Bigster maintenance interval - discussion

Hello all,

Last August I got my bigster delivered. Now I’m close to the first 15k km service and when I made an appointment today I asked about the first oil change.

The dealer said that they don’t do an oil change on the first service. The first oil change is specced by Dacia at 30k km. (!?)

Now with my previous car and many people in the car world would agree that you best do an oil change every 10k km or less. But maybe Dacia has some magic in their engines I don’t know..

What are your thoughts about it? Will I just listen to the dealer and get the oil changes at the recommended intervals. Which will also extend my warranty up to 7 years. I guess as long as I follow Dacia’s shedule and plan on selling the car when the warranty runs out then I have nothing to worry about right?

Or should I go to independent mechanics to get an oil change in between official services? Will this break my warranty? I don’t know how this works.

Thank you for advice 😁
