Low grade fever for a week

Dear friends,

I now have a low grade fever since last Monday evening, so one week. It started off with shivering, fever, sore throat, pain in ears and blocked left ear, muscle aches, light headache. It was my first day of vacation, after a very busy period. Spent 14 hours in the train that day, across Europe, very crowded. Fever is aroudn 37,8-38,2. Responds well to paracetamol.
I am using Xolair for CSU and no other meds. 49, male, no other health issues, non smoker and non drinker.

GP says wait and see…. What would you think?
