My thoughts about Momma Gets By

First of all, I think this and As You Lie There are my favorites from the album. Secondly, this song really gets to me because I lived something similar with my 1st husband.

In my imagination, I think "Momma" is the girl from "She's Leaving Home " all grown up. She left home looking for "something more", "fun", right? She meets a guy, (maybe the man from the motor trade?) he charms her and she falls for him. Next thing she knows, she's married with a kid and stuck with this guy who is not a lot of help. But...she loves him...with all her heart and soul.
