This is choso glaze so I beg let me cook.

Choso is a flat character at face value. And that's what makes him a good character. Chosos whole motivation is his brothers. He lives and fights for his brothers and to be an example to them. If he can do something for them he will.

When we first meet choso this is already extremely clear. He's mad that yuji and nobara killed his brothers and wants to kill both yuji and nobara for it. Right off the bat we understand that this dude loves and cares for his brothers despite being a death womb painting. His brothers are everything to him and that's immediately clear.

The next serious interaction we have with choso is after Gojo is sealed and he meets yuji. And just at the sight of Yuji he is enraged because of how much he cares and mourns his brothers. This leads to a fight in which choso eventually wins and before he can kill yuji he finds out yuji is his brother. (Through yujis blood iirc) And this sends him into a spiral. His brothers are so important to him and now choso has to deal with the fact his brother killed his other brothers and the fact he almost just killed his brother. And this affects choso hard.

We see him again after mahito is defeated where he just.ls in to save yuji and reveals he's yujis older brother and continues to fight tooth and nail for yuji despite wanting to kill him so bad just earlier. This once again shows how important brotherhood is to choso. It's all he knows and has and he will do anything he can for them.

Choso constantly stays by yuji and protects him throughout the rest of the story. When Naoya and yuta attack choso takes it upon himself to deal with Naoya so yuji can run. We also learn more about chosos view on everything with Naoya. How he views being an older brother and what it means to him. He constantly wants to set an example and help his brothers. He even says that if he goes down a bad path it's okay so that his younger brothers can ignore that path. And if he goes down a good path his brothers can follow him down it. He then beats Naoya and before he can help yuji, yuta comes in and one taps him.

(MANGA SPOILERS AHEAD)

The next big thing that really breaks at the false shell that choso is a flat character is his interactions with Yuki. Choso is having hard time with chosing what to do. Yuji encourages him to be more human and to live. But choso doesn't know how to do that. When he talks to Yuki, Yuki says something to him that opens his eyes that being human is okay because you can continue to support and help your brothers while being human, you don't have to sacrifice one or the other and this makes choso cry. And when Yuki eventually dies doing her black hole attack she tells choso one more thing and that's to live as a human with his brothers.

(There's a lot of stuff in the Kenjaku fight but it's way to much to cover here)

Choso doesn't really fight against sukuna. But he does do one thing. He protects yuji like he always has and always wanted to. When sukuna was going to kill yuji with fuga, he sacrifices himself to protect yuji. He uses all his blood as a shield to make sure yuji survives. And as he's doing this he's blacking in and out of reality. He sees his brothers who passed away and apologizes for failing them and being unable to protect them. And all they can say is thank you. Thank you for doing your part and looking after our younger brother when we couldn't. And choso cries again. As we return to reality and we see choso fading away as he dies and he says he's glad to have been yujis brother and protect him. And yuji for the last time thanks choso for being his older brother.

Choso is a character that pretends to be flat. But he's not while at the same time is. Choso is flat because at the end of the day all he cares about is protecting his brothers. But he also struggles with who he is and what being human means.

Choso is an amazing character who I personally love as he's my favorite in jjk. He is honest about what he is and what he wants but he also does have soft undertones if a more complex character and who he wants to be and what that means.

Choso is an amazing flat character (read post body I beg)
