CEL on after Malone tune

I'd been driving my 2015 golf for a week after tuning, no problems. I'm on a big road trip and after 1200 miles of driving, my CEL came on. Scanner said EGR/DPF... I'm CERTAIN I didn't tune out the DPF (planning on deleting in the future) but did tune out EGR. What would be causing this? And should I just re-tune EGR back to stock for the time being?
