How are the Self Sponsored MTech programmes of IIT Hyderabad?

So I have my interviews for IIT Hyd SS MTech. But I am genuinely interested to know more about this programme. Will professors and recruiting companies prefer regular MTech students through GATE more than Self sponsored guys?? Also are opportunities for Self Sponsored guys less than normal MTech students? I am actually fearing being cornered by other students and looked down upon. Will our classes ,exams, lab works everything be different from other students?
