Any troubleshooting ideas? (Possible corrupted save profile)

I was playing yesterday and completed the Chesed Core Suppression. Day end worked fine - picked my next abno, expanded Binah's dept (alternating between H and B expansion, as is common for this point in the game). When on the prep screen for the day (assigning agents) I lost power which obviously shut off my computer.

I figured I might have to redo the day and Chesed suppression because I technically never started the next day - a little annoying but not the biggest deal. Turn on the game and immediately see that the continue option is labeled Day 1 instead of Day 38 or 39 - whatever I was on. Alright, figured at least I still have my codex, ego, and mission progress - I will just build back up, worst thing that might happen is I load in and don't have One Sin and have to Day 1 again to correct.

WRONG - when I hit continue the screen has the layer names down the side, no department/department head tree, and REINITIAL in the upper right corner. Music continues to play - nothing loads. Tried to just use regular old Day 1 - same issue/freeze except it states INITIALIZE in the upper right corner.

Looking around online this points to error loading the game files - likely one of the XML files corrupted. The only way I see people fixing this is by pressing the logo and wiping out EVERYTHING (ie truly starting the game from point 1 again - no codex, no ego, no missions).

I would really like to avoid this - anyone have any troubleshooting tips for trying to recover a corrupted save without wiping it out entirely? I'd rather not lose my 150 hour game file - I have pretty much everything done except 3 core suppressions and a couple alephs to research (white knight, apoc bird) so starting again with level 1 nuggets and nothing done really is not an appealing thought at the moment.
