I purchased these elite USA 90s in October of last year directly from the power block website. I have not dropped them and they are not in a humid environment. They are in a spare bedroom that I repurposed into a home gym. They get put down onto a puzzle piece type mat that is on top of carpet.

The paint flaking on the welds in the first picture is what concerns me most and you can also see on the crease of one of the plates what looks like rust.
They're dumb dumbbells, so I'm really not concerned with their appearance. I just wanna make sure this is normal and not gonna cause any problems down the line. If I'd had them for 10 years, I wouldn't think anything of it, but it's not even been a year and if anything I've babied them.

Should I be concerned at all? Warranty claim now or wait until it gets worse? Really the rust if that's what it is in the first picture is the most concerning thing because they're in a spare bedroom and I don't live in a high humidity environment.

Sorry if this is the wrong community to post this in, but I've tried home gym garage gym and they all deny me for some reason. I'm just looking to get some input from power block owners.

Is this normal wear and tear for less than year-old pair of power block USA elite 90s?
