Whats the Reality of Using Copyrighted Music

Hey guys i started dropping new youtube videos documenting entrepreneurship and lifestyle and I really dont care about monetizing my channel or at least not right now.
My priority is to gain a lot of reach and engagement for my content and I want to use copyright music without the hassle of licensing from websites like LICKD (They're taxed and im bootstrapped).

I want to know if anyones experienced dropping videos with mainstream music like Drake for example and are able to keep their videos up without getting any strikes.
Does Youtube automatically route any revenue to the label if the account is monetizable or would I be risking loosing my channel.

Some example channels that do this are Brez, BSMFredo and Pierre Khoury with 10s of thousands of followers.
