My cats in alot of pain after his paw pad had been cut

Hes a little one, around 2 years old. he hurt his paw pad while outside, cutting it open on something and we had to go to the vet and get him stitches… but its unbarable to watch him so sad and struggling with his cone and trying to rip off his bandage. He often shakes his leg, walks on it in great difficulty and hits it on the floor, his medication is also gabapentin oral solution and he had a horrid reaction to it. Our family are all busy working during the day and we are scared to leave him on his own in the night. his bandage is also slowly getting more blood on it. Im in need of so much advice please help
