marketplace items sold directly by Roblox are subject for non-delivery

Roblox Client Bug

This is a warning to those who might buy limited-time marketplace items. Inside the Roblox app, on the homepage, (not in the marketplace), they promoted a "67" necklace for a list price of 67 Robux. They actually charged me $7.99 (I should've been tipped off when it asked for a password). And... I didn't receive it. (Again this happened inside the Roblox app)

I filed a ticket with customer service. After filling out the ticket form, I had to argue with their AI bot to actually get ticket submitted. The AI must be given several convincing reasons for submitting a ticket, and then actually ask the AI to submit the ticket twice. The next day, I received the following email:

^("Hello ********,)

^(Thank you for contacting Roblox Customer Support.)

^(Roblox may conduct promotional offers for a limited time where eligible users can purchase an exclusive virtual item. Pricing and availability for Robux, Robux packages and virtual items are subject to change at any time. Promotional offers may not be available to all users, and Customer Support cannot manually grant any Robux or bonus items.)

^(At this time, your account does not appear to be eligible for the promotion. Roblox is continuously looking for ways to improve your experience, and we recommend checking back in the future for new promotional offers.)

^(Sincerely,)

^(Roblox Support")

The necklace went off-sale while they were processing the ticket.

Thus far, I was overcharged and denied the item. As a warning, make marketplace purchases at your own risk. Personally I'll still make in-game purchases, but I'm going to avoid the marketplace.
