my ex wrote me a note in my yearbook

tl/dr for contexte we were on and off for almost 2 years throughout highschool and were each others first serious relationship. we broke up abt a year n a half ago and r in the same class this year. we talk normally but he has a gf now so i keep my distance. today we received our yearbook n i wanted to respect his gf so i js wrote how im proud of him for getting into the program he wanted n thanked him for the nice memories. him on the other hand wrote abt how we gained a lot of experiences together. he thanked me for always understanding and supporting him, and how he'd never forget that. at the end he wrote maybe in another life. idk how to feel cause he has a gf n changed quite a little. ppl in our class thinks we still have something tgt even tho i try my best not to talk to him. idk how to feel😓 tell me what u guys think
