D2L Brightspace Question

I'm new to D2L and am playing around with setting things up on the admin side. I set up a test assignment, but I want to know what it looks like when a student submits an assignment and what I can see on my end as the faculty admin of my page. I'm not seeing a place for me to upload a document to test that out though. Is there a way for me to submit a test document? Do I need to add myself as a "student" somehow?
