GameCube vs Switch

Hi all! I searched a bit and couldn’t find a similar question so I’m sorry if this has been asked before. I’m old (34) and I LOVED LOVED LOVED animal crossing on the GameCube back in the day, I still have it but it’s just not convenient as a WFH/SAHM of two kids to plug that thing in and use it all the time. I have a switch and switch 2 and I was wondering if I’ll like the switch version of the game as much as I loved the GameCube one. Is it worth it for me to get?! I typically play when I’m nursing or laying with the baby so anything on the switch is a godsend.
