Why do people treat me as if I am innocent???

Nearly everyone - as if I'm naive and too innocent to smoke or drink or try drugs, they look at me as if I'm brand new to the world and it pisses me off - I've been through so much more than people assume but still apparently I come across as completely innocent and sheltered - why???
