International Delayed Release Blues

Hey ya’ll. With all the fun new releases coming up on the pod, just wanted to commiserate with my fellow international listeners who are experiencing the delay and can’t listen to their favorite podcasts when they come out.

I’m in Japan, and while it used to be worse I guess (movies would always come out 6-12 months later here so celebrities could do the tv interview circuit etc), it seems like even as most of the world hits simultaneous international release dates, we inevitably get left behind lol. probably has more to do with the relatively strong domestic film market here and securing release windows and distributors.

Disclosure Day - October

The Odyssey - late 2026 TBD

Toy Story 5 only comes out a few weeks later here but, insult to injury, since I’m not in the big city all “children’s movies” in my area are only shown with dubs haha.

Guess I’ll just have to be patient and play through some old episodes while I wait…. *Dwight in the car meme*
