Patellar Luxation

my dog has a patellar luxation and they noticed it when she was 10 weeks old when she got her first round of shots. she’s now 4.5 months and she still has it they said they would continue keeping an eye on it but she’s done with her shots so she won’t be going to the vet as often now. they said some dogs have no issues ever and worst case she will have to get surgery. i want to start giving her a joint supplement because the patellar luxation and the higher chances of dachshunds getting IVDD. if anyone can help it would be appreciated. she’s still so young and she’s only 5.1 pounds (she was weighted a week ago). if i should wait on the joint supplement because she’s so young let me know. i’m just trying to be as cautious as i can be since the one thing’s dachshunds could care less about is their back.
