Classic neckband vibrates continuously and no longer works

I have the original neckband, and when I came home from a walk with it and plugged it in to charge, after a few minutes it started to vibrate and pulse and vibrate.

I tried to hold the power button... no difference

I tried to hold the power button and volume donw...no difference

So I let the battery die... of course it stopped.

Then I plugged it in again, and it started to vibrate again. I could get it started to the loading screen, and then the image would disappear and the vibration would start again.

I fear that I am just out of luck and wasted money on a product that simply didn't last. I bought it in August of 2024, so I imagine the warranty is gone.

Any ideas.
