When did your home machine finally tap out on denim?
Mine gave up on a raw selvedge jacket last month. Was topstitching the yoke - 4 layers of 14oz and it just started skipping every other stitch. adjusted tension like 6 times, changed the needle, slowed way down. nothing.
Honestly should've seen it coming, it's been struggling with double-felled seams for a while now. Kept telling myself "just one more project"
So I'm finally looking at going industrial. did you all just wake up one day and pull the trigger, or was there a specific moment that broke you? and did you go walking foot right away or start with something simpler?
