Religious converters in video games upswing?

Just sharing some anecdotal stories here, but wanted to see what others are thinking. So, I have noticed a big uptick in christian types trying to badger people about their stuff in gaming lately. I know its not new, been a gamer for all my life and im old now. But honestly before, it seemed like I'd get maybe one of these types every 5 or 7 years it seems, in game voice chat or texts in a guild or global chat type stuff. I also should say I do play a fairly wide variety, though lately been more free to play or live service types, so maybe its been more since if you get banned for harassment you can resign up and come right back.

But anyway, in just this past two months, ive seen it dozen times, maybe more but certainly not less. Is there some kind of religious push to invade the "hip" spaces and evangelicalize when we want to just chill and shoot things or quest around or what? It's so intrusive when they come to your door, and just hearing it start up in a new match before you mute or block just throws you off a bit.

Am I alone here?
