VSC System Warning and Code P0983 on '08 LX570...

Hey there people!

I recently purchased a one owner '08 LX570 with about 143k miles from a dealership here in Newport Beach. My first day driving the car I noticed that the check tire pressure system warning came on.. I figured it must be old tire sensors.

Well, a day goes by and yesterday evening as I'm coming back from a short little drive, I get a bunch of warnings with "Check VSC System", "4LO", and the engine light (not flashing however) all at once. I was worried and ended up taking it for a free diagnostic. The only code it showed was "P0983".

I was then referred to a transmission shop where it's being inspected for about $240 right now....

What's the worst I can expect? I've contacted the dealer and made them aware of how annoyed I am that not even two days going by it's giving me this issue.

Any insight is immensely appreciated.
