Advice for leaving my breast fed toddler to give birth

My mom (who will be watching my 16 month old) is very adamant that I wean my toddler before I give birth, my child shows no signs of being ready to wean and still nurses 6-8 times a day and 4-6 times a night. How can I help her be as comfortable as possible while I’m gone having her baby sister? I’m halfway through this pregnancy and plan on nursing both of them once I’m home from the hospital. Can anyone share their experience with something similar or give any tips?
