Citizenship application with court conviction
I applied for UK citizenship about a month ago and, at the time of my application, I was unaware that I had been convicted under the Single Justice Procedure for failing to provide driver information (s.172 Road Traffic Act). The conviction resulted in a fine and 6 penalty points.
I only became aware of the conviction after submitting my citizenship application because the court correspondence was sent to an old address following a house move. I have since submitted a Statutory Declaration to have the conviction set aside and the case reopened.
Has anyone been in a similar situation, or does anyone know whether a conviction that is subsequently set aside could affect a citizenship application that was submitted before I became aware of it?
Any insight would be appreciated
