Question: how to choose univerity

background info: I will finish my bachelor’s degree in law at a university in Belgium. For my Master’s I have to decide whether I will stay at this univeristy (which is rather small and close to home so I don’t stay in a dorm, but at home) or going to KULeuven. (a prestigious university, large, in a big city, and I will stay in a dorm).

the pro’s of staying at the uni i’m going going to right now: i got selected for a semester abroad with a friend of mine, I now how the system works (as in how th exams are etc) and I can stay at home.

the pro’s of going to Leuven: i will finally be able to experience student-life and it’s an established uni with ‘good’ courses and a lot of options in courses, especially for law.

In some way I want something new, I want to get to know new people etc. But at the same time I’m scared of change and I’m scared that it won’t work out in Leuven and that I will regret my choice…

Can someone please help me?
