hometown drama shrek cheating scandal

Hello Smosh! I am here to respond to the call for hometown drama. Oh do I have a story for you. I'm from a very very suburban medium sized town in California. We always had a lot of local community theater near us and the theater world is very small. Everyone at every theater within an hour radius of us knows everyone some way or another. Because of that drama would spread VERY quickly (theater kids love to talk). My high school had a small but mighty program that had a lot of overlap with local theaters. My junior year we put on a production of Shrek the Musical. A former friend of mine played Fiona and because of the fallout out our friendship she had said a lot of really negative things about me to our choir director (who also directed everything). This girl had a reputation for being crazy. She would lie a lot but was the directors favorite. The director is a whole other can of worms (lots of inappropriate relationships with students etc) but her tenure was so good that no one could say anything about her. So, at the beginning of this production the girl playing Fiona had a girlfriend who she was engaged to. Yes. Engaged in high school. They were planning on getting married and then joining the military together. They were also planning to have kids before they were 24. Througout the production of Shrek, we all noticed this girl getting really close with the guy who played Shrek. No one thought anything of it at first because she was GAY AND ENGAGED. Until tech week when in all their green glory they were caught making out backstage. This spread like wildfire but the girlfriend lived around 3 hours away and she refused to believe anything anyone told her. Shrek and Fiona got caught multiple times together and starting making out on stage during the kiss scene. It became a game in the local community to come see Shrek and time the kiss scene to see how long it went on for. The longest was 20 seconds with VISUAL tongue. Fiona ended up breaking up with her girlfriend during the second weekend and then immediately started dating Shrek officially. She then proceeded to recome out as straight and convert to mormonism. Shrek also baptized our choir teacher into mormonism. All of this happened within 3 weeks. I wish I was making this up. Thank god high school is over - what a time that was. I will never look at Shrek the same again.
