feeding boneless ground or with bones to cat with missing teeth?
I'm unsure if it's okay to feed my cat meat with some bones in it or just boneless only. she's missing about half her teeth due to dental extraction and tooth resorption. she does well with pieces of thick meat and she does chew fine. she also chews on the rare occasion I feed dry food which is strange; the vet said they don't typically chew. seems she chews better after the surgery actually. she is kind of small and has a small head/mouth so maybe that's it?
I've read that it's better to feed semi or bone raw because it cleans their teeth. she had major issues and the other cat has mild plaque so it would be nice to help with that.
I'd decrease the bones by doing 90/5/5. she was eating viva (I think the bones are really small?) and had some blood/mucus in her poop due to high bone content (80/10/10).
I'm planning to use alnutrin. I originally bought the alnutrin + eggshell and lost it so I'm deciding if I should buy that version again or the one meant to be put in food with bones.
