Is the 28mm and 85mm enough?

Just purchased a z6iii. I have, in the past, used an x10vi and Leica Q3 28 - so I am very used to the 28mm focal length (I know the x100 isn't that but you get the point) I have the 28 f2 which I am happy with. I bought and am returning the 50mm 1.8 s. Nice lens, but I didn't really like the range - at least I had to work harder to get what I wanted. I have been considering the f4 zooms but started thinking about sticking to primes - and just getting the 85mm. Any thoughts or experience working like this?
For context, I shoot no video and most of my shots are in monochrome. I shoot a lot of rural grit (abandoned farmhouses, barns, etc) I would get the 85 for those situations when I could not get close enough for the 28 to work. Taking these shots, I want to avoid or at least minimize trespassing depending on the situation. I do have grandkids, but I think the 28 works there. Thanks!
