Why do parents do this?!?

I'm being honest, today at my Walmart I saw a couple (looked about 18-19) with a baby that looks 5 or less months old with an iPhone on full blast with skibidi toilet playing. Like why? Do parents not have the time nowadays or do they just want someone/something to raise their kids? I mean I have to take care of my sister's baby at times and I usually never let them watch stuff unless they're hanging out with me in the living room.
