When will matter.js become the default?

So I'm using the latest version of Home Assistant OS: core 2026.6.1, Supervisor 2026.05.1, Operating System 17.3. I read somewhere that matter.js will become the default soon. Trying to update devices with the current python implementation is a pain. I takes so many tries and fails before it might eventually succeed. I've heard that updates work a lot better on the new matter.js system. Do we know when it will be out? Should I wait or should I just use the matter.js beta?
