5 mg to 12.5

I am wondering if anyone else's prescribed has jumped their dosage a large amount. My doctor jumped mine from 5 to 12.5 mg.

Context: I was on Zepbound in January 2025 through July of 2025 starting at 2.5 mg and ending at 15 mg. I went from 279 lbs to 213 lbs (66 lbs) in that time.

However, my Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) stopped covering Zepound and only provided coverage for Wegovy.

I took Wegovy for 1 month and it made me very sick. Luckily, we got a new PBM and Zepbound was once again covered. The caveat this time was that it came in 3 months prescriptions at a time. I spent 3 months on 2.5 mg and 3 months on 5 mg.

I went from 213 lbs to 252 lbs during that time. When I called my PCP for refill and told him that I was still gaining weight, he called in the massive dose increase.

I have no idea why exactly and I am a bit worried about how difficult the symptoms will be to manage.
