Broken wing pigeon

Hello, me and my boyfriend found a broken winged pigeon and left water for him but I read if they stay on the street they can get killed by a cat etc. so we went back and directed him to outside our garage so he/she is protected. I have a dog so it worries me he can get to him or if starts flying from somewhere my dog will hurt him. Right now is 11pm in Portugal but anyone knows best advice to take care for him until I find a vet that will take care of his wing? I’ve tried searching rescues in the Porto area but didn’t find anything for pigeons or the national rescuers (SEPNA) just doesn’t care about them so I’m a bit lost. Also I’m afraid to hurt him more so I don’t even know how I’m going to take him to the vet.
