"Golden Era" of Headphones
What would you consider to be the "Golden Era" of Headphones? I've found myself going back to some of the high-end wireless headphones that were out circa 2015-2017. I have newer stuff as well with USB-C and longer battery life, but nothing quite hits like these classics.
Recently snagged some factory sealed B&O Beoplay H8, factory sealed Philips Fidelio M2BT, and an open box B&W P5 Wireless.
I LOVE the sound of the Philips Fidelio M2BT. Hard to explain, but they sound more "real" than other on-ears, especially vs current models (recently bought and returned Beyer Aventho 100). A fun headphone that looks great and functions well in the gym.
The smell of the leather on the B&W P5 Wireless is amazing and brings back those nostalgic moments from 10 years ago. You know, back when premium materials were used vs. all the plastics and synthetics. Great headphone for everyday listening whilst lounging around at home.
Love the metal face and touch controls of the B&O Beoplay H8 vs. the plastic buttons of the H8i (which also cheapened out on materials and doesn't feel quite the same). Leathers are top-notch. Love the metals used. Removable battery. Addicting punchy sound, functional ANC, and EQ if you want.
