Memberships a terrible idea

A Knotts Berry Farm membership only benefits six flags - it “continues forever” until you take the time to cancel becoming a subscription program. So Six Flags / Knotts continues to get monthly revenue if you forget to cancel, don’t want to deal with cancelling because of the hassle, get too ill to take the time to cancel, or even die and your estate doesn’t close the membership for months or years. It definitely doesn’t benefit the user. And note you have to cancel memberships 15 days before the next billing date too. And like season passes there is a 12 month minimum commitment so really it’s just a season pass that never ends renewing.
The only possible benefit is signing up later in the year vs earlier in the year - as they continue indefinitely at a monthly charge. Of course, six flags could just offer annual passes like Disney does but that’s not going to happen.
Don’t be suckers - continue using season passes to control when and how you renew!
